Tritech's microINJECTOR

Tritech Research has designed a microinjection system that lets you control with exacting precision both the pressure and the duration of the microinjection pulse. And, it's available at a fraction of the cost of competing systems.

Our microINJECTOR System uses a precision pressure regulator and a high-speed electronic solenoid switching valve, yet it is amazingly robust and simple to operate. It allows you to start and stop injection within a fraction of a second and control the quantity and flow of material into your target with precision. Our electronic foot control is designed to keep your hands free so you can concentrate on the manipulation of your needle and target.

The microINJECTOR comes preassembled, ready to use. You need only attach the system to a compressed gas tank (e.g. N2) or in-house pressurized air line at one end and your needle at the other. You set the desired pressure and the system delivers pulses of pressure to your needle. In the base model, the duration of the injection pulse is controlled by how long you hold down the high-speed electronic foot pedal. With our easy-to-use, reliable equipment there is no "magic" required. Even a novice will be turning out transformants the first day.

With our optional electronic Pulse-Length Control Module (PCM) you can set injection times from 0.1 to 10 seconds. Each time the pedal is pressed, a constant volume is reproducibly injected. This option is crucial for quantitative experiments such as transient expression assays following microinjection of DNA, RNA, protein or other substances.

By controlling the pulse length and pressure independently, you can compensate for the flow characteristics of individual needles; you can determine if the needle is properly placed prior to any appreciable damage occurring to your target; and you can fill your target incrementally. High pressure settings with rapid on/off pulses aid in unclogging needles.

As an added option to the microINJECTOR System you can hold your target with our state-of-the art Holding Pipette Controller (HPC)
The HPC allows you to pick-up and hold your target with vacuum suction then release it with positive pressure. Our unique pneumatic foot pedal control allows a continuous range from vacuum through positive pressure depending on the position of the pedal. Ideal for holding and manipulating targets such as embryos and oocytes. Also useful for injecting ES cells into Blastocysts. As any of our customers will attest, within a short time you will be proficiently getting transformants.

$ 595.00: Standard model
$ 95.00: Pulse-length Control Module
$ 395.00: Holding Pipette Controller

IM-300 Motor Drive Microinjector

This instrument is for repeated injection and extracting of small volumes of fluids from cells, embryos and cell components at a pre-programmed time and pressure, accurately and automatically. Compressed gas (air or nitrogen gas at 7kg/cm2)

Price= $4100

IM-30 Motor Drive Microinjector

Developed as a simpler version of the IM-300, this injector allows setting of injection time down to 5/100 sec. A balancing function is provided to conserve gas. The IM-30 also features a direct timeer selection system for the unit to operate only at set times and when the footswitch is on.

Price= $1800

IM-16 Read out Type Microinjector

The IM-16 is used to inject solutions into organisms, aspirate fluid samples from tissue or hold cells/eggs by aspiration on the end of a holding pipette. Compact, light, durable and with a long working distance, it's also very easy to use: the control knob is rotated clock-wise/counterclockwise, and has a microliter scale for reading off injection volumes (allowing a variety of experimental work to be done under a microscope.) An 800-microliter glass syringe is supplied, but a 200 microliter syringe (abailable seperately) can also be mounted.

$1250

IM-50A/B Microinjector

Compact, durable and with a long working range, these instruments are designed for injecting and aspirating fluids from cells and embryos, as well as from cell components such as nuclei and chromosomes. They can also be used to supply the suction force for holding cells on a holding pipette. Easy operation is assured by a single control knob that rotates in both directions and is marked with a scale for reading off injection volumes, so that various experiments can be performed under a microscope.

$1050

IM-8 Microinjector

With a microliter scale marked on the 2-way rotating control knob for easy read-off of injection volumes, the IM-8 is used to inject solution into organisms, aspirate fluid samples, the IM-8 is used to inject solution into organisms, aspirate fluid samples from tissue, or hold cells/eggs by aspiration on the end of a holding pipette. Coarse control capability allows displacement of large volumes (e.g. filling the system with oil), while fine control provides the precision needed for microinjection of small volumes and other microscope based procedures. Light, compact and durable, the IM-8 is used with an 800-microliter (supplied) or 200-microliter (available seperately) glass syringe.

$1600

IM-3 Microinjector

A compact and lightweight injector for use in conjunction with Hamilton or other syringes. Syringes are sold separetely.

$615

IM-26 Read-out Type Microinjector
